Aircraft Performance Calculator for Palm Pilot under $400

Utica, NY, July 20, 2000 - CAVU Companies proudly announces the release of EFB-Pro. Electronic Flight Bag-Pro is a Palm Pilot application which provides jet and turboprop pilots automatic performance chart and weight & balance calculations for multiple aircraft. Complex calculations, such as 1st & 2nd Segment climb gradient, takeoff weight limit, and critical engine failure speed (V1) can be easily and routinely calculated by EFB-Pro. An EFB-Simulator can be added to allow data input and chart testing from a Windows PC.

EFB-Pro also maintains weight & balance calculations for each aircraft, including user defined stations and default weights. Enter pax weights, fuel and baggage and EFB-Pro calculates the new gross weight, CG, CG shift and %MAC and then displays them graphically relative to the envelop for the aircraft. If needed, EFB carries the numbers forward to the performance charts and fuel management section. Performance chart results and weather data entered is used to calculate fuel requirements using the 7000 airport database.

EFB-Pro also contains a full array of conversion calculations, such as Jet A Gallons to Pounds, Jet A Liters to Pounds, Kilograms to pounds and many more.

A climb gradient calculator, with and without departure procedures, is also provided and adjusts for the number of engines on the aircraft.

The QFE-QNH calculator displays mm QFE clearances in customary QNH mb or IN. HG.

EFB-Pro installs on any 3Com Palm IIIe or above PDA (sold separately). No need to carry or purchase "one function" calculator costing $1500 or more. Palm compatible PDA which fit in the palm of your hand are available for less than $200, can also be used for trip quoting, expense tracking, personal scheduling, note taking, e-mail, "to-do" lists, client/FBO directory and address book.

EFB-Pro pricing packaged with one jet aircraft $399, one turbo-prop $349 or one piston twin $299. Palm Pilot sold separately. Additional aircraft can be added to the same Palm.
