EFB-Kwik is a Palm Pilot/PocketPC
application that allows the user to search and view the North
America or World databases. Not
available on Blackberry.
Blackberry users go
here
Databases update quarterly and are included with an annual subscription.
North America includes US,
Canada and Mexico. Other Palm/PocketPC products purchased by

| Find Airport
or
VOR
by Identifier |
Airports and VORs are entered
using 3-4 letter identifiers. The VOR can also be called up by
entering the VOR name (or a part thereof). In this example, FO is
entered within VOR Name and when FIND is pressed, Foristell VOR is displayed
(see VOR Details below)
The coordinates for additional airports
can be added by the user.

| Find airport by City |
On the main airport screen,
the user can enter a city name or partial city name and search through the
database for matches. For example, entering "ph" will bring up Phoenix
and Philadelphia. |

| Main Airport Information |
The main screen displays the
airport name, city, state, fuel availability, approaches and approach
lighting, magnetic variation, field elevation, frequencies for ATIS,
Clearance Delivery, Ground and Tower, runway length and width, time zone and
GMT offset. Additional information, such as, the
airport manager's contact information (when no FBO is listed), Weather (ASOS)
telephone numbers, whether they are GATE approved and a telephone number.
Caterers, limo services, charter companies,
restaurants etc are also provided on this screen. |

| FBOs |
Fixed Base Operators, their phone numbers,
including fax, communication frequency, fuel brand, hours of operation,
location on the field and transportation available. |

| Hotels |
Over 18000 major hotels referred by the
FBOs are listed, along with their address, phone numbers, including fax.
Room rates and distance to the airport are shown. Any remarks that
have been given by the FBO are also displayed. |

| Notes |
The user may add personal
notes to each airport file. |

| System Requirements |
Palm OS version 3.0 to 5.0+
or Pocket PC Palm Pilot or Pocket PC device or compatible.
The databases can be placed onto Palm Memory Stick, SD or MMC expansion
card by utilizing the Expansion Card Utility
however CAVU does not provide support for this configuration.
A special software utility can be used to
place the databases on a Palm expansion card. The utility can be found on
the PDAs/MEMORY page of this website.
Installation on Tungsten T5 and Treo 650
has been confirmed by customers. The installation must be to the core
memory and not to an expansion card. The expansion card utility will not
work on these units.
PC or MAC computer running Desktop software (comes with PDA).
Installation on MAC requires Windows emulator.
Palm Pilot PDAs are available through CAVU at preferred pricing. |
